Northern Michigan Spas donate over $8,000 to Women’s Resource Center for Grand Traverse Area, November 2012
Northern Michigan Spa Tour raised and donated $8,348 to benefit the Women’s Resource Center for Grand Traverse Area.
The spas hosted a Wine and Spa Tour evening fundraiser on Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City on October 4th. The fundraising continued as the spas donated a portion of their sales from a Charity Week October 8-14, 2012. It was an opportunity for people to relax, feel great, and raise dollars for a worthy cause all at the same time.
Valerie Kirn-Duensing, Director of Development for the Women’s Resource Center of Grand Traverse Area explained, “As a nonprofit agency, we simply wouldn’t be able to operate without additional support from charitable events like the Wine and Spa Tour. This particular event was so well executed by the participating spas and vineyard’s, it was a win-win situation for everyone.”
Northern Michigan Spa Tour is continuing to raise funds for the Women’s Resource Center by donating five dollars from the purchase of every Spa Tour Passport sold in 2012. The passport allows a year of savings at seven spas, a 50% discount on a subscription to Spirituality and Health Magazine, a free spa service for anyone who completes the tour, and a chance to win a year of tranquility with lodging and spa treatments at seven spas.
